Chill Out Festival 2026

In March 2026, ChillOut Festival unfolded across Daylesford, Victoria, gathering bodies, stories, and expression into a living, breathing celebration of queer presence.

Under the theme Planet Love, the town became a site of orbit and connection. A constellation of performance, movement, and shared experience. Thousands arrived not just to witness, but to be seen.

Within this landscape, Harness by Horness emerged as both installation and invitation. Not simply a fashion show, but a shifting field of bodies in relation. Each piece worn as an extension of self. Leather, chain, and form meeting skin with intention.

Garments not placed onto the body, but shaped with it. The runway dissolved into something more intimate. A procession of presence. Models moving in their own rhythm, holding their own stories, each harness a quiet declaration of autonomy, identity, and embodiment. Alongside this, the work opened outward.

Hands-on workshops invited participants into the making itself. To touch the materials. To choose. To construct. Here, the harness became not just an object, but a process. A negotiation between structure and freedom. A moment of co-creation where design met lived experience.

Across both the runway and the workshop space, the practice remained grounded in what it has always been: A commitment to the body as it is. To adornment without expectation. To creation as a relational act. Not spectacle. But presence. Not performance alone. But participation. A trace of something held, worn, and remembered long after the festival closed.
